Quacent SIP Panels: High-Performance, Sustainable Construction
Quacent SIP panels consist of a rigid BASF NEOPOR® insulation core, sandwiched between 11 mm OSB4 sheathing on both sides. This configuration ensures excellent airtightness, achieving airtightness class 3 and a qv;10 value of < 0.15 dm³/s·m²
Full System Composition:
OSB4 sheathing from Norbord – 100% formaldehyde-free glued
Structural SIP core – solid structural timber (GLT) from Hasslacher
Load-bearing components – Glulam BSH beams from Hasslacher
Sustainably sourced timber
Fire Resistance
Rated Euroclass C, fire-retardant modified in accordance with NEN 6065 / 6066
Acoustic Performance
Sound insulation of up to 31 dB, depending on element configuration (per NEN 5077 +C11)
Weight: Approximately 25–30 kg/m², depending on element thickness and cladding
The ideal basis for energy-neutral (BENG), sustainable and life-cycle-proof construction.
Because the importance of insulation values and airtightness is becoming increasingly important, traditional construction with concrete or stone will not be feasible or will become very costly if one wants to meet the stricter energy standards EPC and BENG. Facades with a value of Rc6 and roof Rc8 are the standard as well as an airtightness class 3. Therefore, SIP panels are well suited to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of new buildings.
