Quacent SIP Technology Explained

Faster, Stronger, Smarter Building

Quacent’s Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) provide an innovative building solution that combines speed, strength, and energy efficiency. Designed for modern construction, our SIP kits make it possible to assemble high-performance homes and buildings with precision and predictability.

What Are SIPs?

A Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) is a high-performance building element consisting of two engineered wood facings bonded to an insulating foam core.

Facings carry tension and compression

Core transfers shear loads

Together, they act like a composite I-beam, lightweight yet extremely strong.

Why Choose Quacent SIPs?

High Thermal Performance

Continuous insulation with minimal thermal bridges ensures lower heating and cooling costs.

Structural Strength

SIPs provide exceptional stiffness and load-bearing capacity compared to traditional timber framing

Rapid Assembly

Pre-cut elements and dry connections reduce on-site time, helping you complete projects faster.

Sustainable by Design

Less waste, fewer raw materials, and significantly reduced operational energy use.

Panel Options

Quacent offers SIPs in a range of build-ups to suit different applications:

External walls: 165, 210, 260, or 310 mm

Roof panels: 165, 210, 260, or 310 mm

Internal walls: 114 mm

Intermediate floors: 210 mm joisted + OSB3 T&G, or LGS + OSB3 T&G

Ground floors: 210 or 260 mm

Applications

Quacent SIPs are suitable for:

● Single-family homes
● Apartments and extensions
● Modular and prefab buildings
● Schools, healthcare facilities, and offices
● Hospitality, leisure, and light industrial spaces
● Energy retrofits and rapid-build projects

Sustainability

Offsite manufacturing reduces waste and transport. Lightweight panels lower site emissions and speed up installation. Airtight, highly insulated envelopes save energy in use. Quacent can hire third parties that can provide Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to support sustainability goals

Compliance and Performance

● Quacent SIP systems are engineered to meet European building codes and standards.
● Production under a documented quality control system.
● Declaration of Performance (DoP) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)available upon request.
